In recent years, companies everywhere have been rethinking how we work and the benefits of hybrid working to ensure the health and happiness of staff members. Hybrid or flexible working might also have you rethinking your office space – how would you keep your employees’ belongings or important documents safe with fewer people around? Locking systems for workplace lockers are the perfect solution for security in your office to add a contemporary aesthetic to the space, as well as providing much-needed security for your staffs’ personal belongings. What are the benefits of smart locks for workplace lockers?

With more and more people preferring to work from home, businesses may use hotdesking (desks being used by different people at different times) so employees wouldn’t have a dedicated work space. Workplace lockers are ideal in these situations to keep belongings and documents safe. What if you could make your office more secure, even if different people are in and out? If you would like to install workplace lockers into your offices, take a look at some of the benefits to you and your employees:

Passcodes for individual access

When the locks are installed on the lockers, the online system generates a code which is unique to the user. Depending on the system, some codes will be immediately replaced when a new user enters their own unique passcode, so no one else will have access to that code. This means if you have lockers for personal belongings, the only person who would have access is the person it has been allocated to.

See who has access and when

All of your allocations appear on one system – you can see exactly who has been allocated which locker. For example, our Live Web Managed locking system. You assign the locker to the user from one central location and see the real-time status of each lock. The user is given the peace of mind that all of their possessions are safe, knowing that there can be no other access to the locker.

No key is required for access

Of course, our locks do come with a key should you need manual access but for your employees, all they’ll need is a passcode or an RFID card. These can be allocated from an online system either in the office or remotely, making it quick and easy to assign lockers. Remote allocation means you can assign these lockers from anywhere – even at home!

Security enhancement

With the online lock allocation, you have access to the log of employees assigned to specific lockers. This means that you know exactly who has access to the lockers at all times, allowing peace of mind for your employees’ over their belongings (especially if they don’t have an allocated desk to sit at), as well as their sensitive documents.

Reduced costs

These smart locks remove the need for keys, costly replacement and time-consuming allocation. There may not even be the need for as many staff members, as the online system makes it easier to assign lockers to employees and it can be done anytime, anywhere.

What types of locks can I use for workplace lockers?

Access Code Managed locking systems

When you purchase the Access Code Managed locking system from us, we will set up a customer account for you and assign the locks to you. This system is able to generate a code for the user that is unique to them. Once this new code is typed in, the old code is immediately replaced with the new one, ensuring security.

App Managed locking systems

With the App Managed locking system, the user is assigned an RFID card by you remotely, so they can access their locks and you don’t even need to be onsite. You can set up a customer account to organise users, configure settings and manage access. Any changes are logged within the app so you know who’s card and locks have been affected.

Live Web Managed locking systems

With our Live Web Managed locking systems, you can assign a locker remotely from one central system. This gives you the ability to set up notifications, respond to any issues and review log files, so you know what is happening with your locks at any time.

To help your employees feel valued in the office, it is important to put them first. Our smart locking systems are ideal to help make your office secure and modern, whilst giving you control over allocation and maintenance.
